Illustrations
This week I decided to blog about some Illustrations I have seen. (like the one's below) Anyway I really like this type of art. I always use alot of bright colors. I think it cool how they have alot of values just using all kinds of lines and different colored lines too. I also like the funny things they depict like animals, characters from movies, undead creature, and even things that don't exist, and all kinds of things. there also on alot of album covers. Plus ideas for this kind of art are almost limitless. I try to make my art similar to this style of art. I like that some of these pieces are gorey but not all of them, are just scenic images and stuff like that. it kind of reminds me of a graphic novel.

I can see how this type of artwork appeals to you. It fits your style and is very ornate and "sketchy". I think you should try using more bold colors in your pieces and adding more hand drawn details to get this look.

ReplyDeletei know we dont talk much in class but i agree with that style i like the colors and how there so bright but alot of the scenes are actually pretty dark and morbid its kind of contradictory and i LOVE it. i think you would be great for this. just take time if you dont have it done by the time mrs martin wants it then thats ok just take time on it and make it somethign your absolutly and totaly proud of. Make use of those lines every line has a reason and it all has a story ;). ENJOY ARTING!
